Founding Designer — Web3 Creator Community Platform
Background and Challenge:
This startup is funded by Sam Altman, Samsung and alot more leading investors.
The main challenge was to create a gamified fan-user interaction and incentivise users for supporting their favourite creatorsThe core challenge revolved around crafting a compelling user experience, enhancing fan-creator interactions, and establishing a sustainable monetization model to ensure the platform's success.
Team and Phases:
The project was spearheaded by a team of 6 professionals, including 2 Front-End Developers, 1 Discord Bot Developer, 1 Solidity Developer, 2 Back-End Developers, and the Founder and Co-founder.
1st Phase: Inception and Initial Launch
During the initial phase, the primary goal was to introduce Matrix to the market effectively. The team faced the challenge of delivering clear messaging to potential users, emphasizing the platform's unique value proposition, and encouraging user engagement with their beloved creators. The team's strategy involved implementing gamification elements to elevate the fan-creator experience and drive active participation. These efforts culminated in a successful launch, laying the groundwork for the platform's initial foray into the market.
2nd Phase: Iterative Improvements and User-Centric Enhancements Following the platform's initial launch, the team recognized the need for improvements based on user feedback and performance metrics. User interviews were conducted to gain valuable insights, enabling the team to refine product positioning and direction. Roadmap meetings were initiated to foster a collaborative approach to product development, leveraging synthesized user insights to drive iterative enhancements. As a result of these efforts, the second phase witnessed a remarkable 33%-70% increase in desired engagement metrics, solidifying the platform's foothold in the competitive landscape.
Current Status and Future Prospects:
With the platform's robust foundation established and a post-revenue status achieved, Matrix has successfully transformed into a thriving company within the creative space. The proactive measures taken during the developmental phases have positioned the platform for exponential growth and success, with an optimistic trajectory on the horizon.

Note: Now their business model is shifted to more B2B, which in basically in-game integrations and less of a platform.
But the product/design decisions I took as the founding designer are still reflected in these in-game integrations which has helped them gain over 200K+ Unique Monthly Users, bringing in $1,908,500 a month with their Roblox launch.
